DIY Makeup Remover Pads

This is a great and inexpensive way to remove makeup from your face without any harsh additives and very gentle for your face. I use this every day to clean and to remove makeup. I love it.

Here is what you need

One small mason jar with lid or any small jar1 cup of distilled water

Cotton rounds

(which can be found in any drug store section near Cotton balls and cotton swabs)1/4 tsp unscented Castile Soap

(castile soap can be found in Walmart near the Cotton ball section and in sections where you would find makeup pads. Very hard to find but will be under Walmart brand equate or use Dr Bonners Castile soap. You can also find castile soap in GNC stores and in drug stores.

(or you can use Avenno Baby wash or JJ Baby wash)

1-2 tsp of olive oil or any carrier oil such as sweet almond oil, safflower oil, jojoba oil etc

If you purchase unscented castile liquid soap, you can add Lavender essential oil which can also be found in health food stores like GNC or maybe even Target and Walgreens. You can also find essential oils online.

Combine the distilled water, castile liquid soap, and the oils together in a bowl. Start adding about 10 cotton rounds in the small jar at a time. Pour a little of the soap mixture over the cotton rounds and then add more cotton rounds and mixture til the cotton rounds are saturated but not soaked. This works well to remove all kinds of face makeup and leaves your skin feeling refreshed before bedtime. It does remove eyeliner and mascara. For waterproof eyeliner and mascara, add a little more olive oil to the mixture and it should easily come off.
