New All Natural Eco Friendly Laundry Detergent

I have finally decided to sell my homemade recipe for laundry detergent. I have been using my own detergent for about 4 months now and I am hooked. I have been trying to decide if this is something I think people would want. Will customers want to move from their traditional laundry soap to homemade laundry soap? Will customers continue to buy store bought laundry soap that does not last and try something that will last? Well I have come to the conclusion the only way to find out is to try it.

I have been one of those people that thought just because your laundry detergent makes suds means your laundry is getting clean. WRONG! I was so wrong and yes I was a bit skeptical about using homemade laundry detergent. I bought some online and tried it and I was like wow my clothes are actually clean and it left them feeling really soft so I didn't have to use fabric softener.

So I proceeded to make a batch of my own unscented lye soap with no color and began mixing. Gave it a little South Pacific waters scent which is a fabulous scent. It made my clothes smelling summer fresh and clean. I only used about 2 tablespoons but needed a little more for this particular load. So adding a little more is optional.

What are the benefits of using my natural laundry detergent? Here is why...

*It’s safe for the environment and in hard water

*It will make your clothes soft so no need for fabric softener

*It will save you money on laundry detergent

*Great for High Efficiency machines

*Good for those who have sensitive skin. This can be unscented too

*We don’t use any Fels Naptha yellow soap (this soap is only good for stains and tough dirt in my opinion)

*Works well in cold or hot water

*Works great on diapers and baby clothing

*And it can be scented in Essential oils or cosmetic fragrances

*No Sudsing, and dye free

* works wonders on cloth diapers and kids clothing

So now that you have seen all the benefits to using all natural laundry detergent, come and give it a try. I have a large 16 oz bag for 8.50. Scoop included at our Etsy and Artfire shops. Smaller size bags and samples will be available soon

Sage & Citrus Olive Oil Soap is back again

It sure is. I have been asked many times to make another batch of this soap and it has arrive. It is now made with Olive oil. I use olive oil sparingly because of the cost of buying it can get pretty expensive but I will be making a few more soaps with Olive oil in it. I love it. This has been one of my favorites. My twin brother Mike has been asking me about it and I just got around to making another batch of it.

It is made with

60% Olive oil
15% coconut oil
10% palm oil
5% safflower oil

and scented with the wonderful scent of Sage & Citrus. Not too overpowering but just enough to enjoy the scent. Plus it has added Calendula petal for effect. It turned out to be a very nice looking soap again and look forward to my customers enjoying it again.

More soaps to come such as Bartlett Pear & Basil, White Tea & Ginger, and Tomato Leaf. These soaps are now being cured. Although they are made using the Hot Process method, I prefer to cure them for a few of weeks. The Bartlett Pear & Basil is now ready and will be listed in our Artfire Studio and our Etsy shop this week. Keep an eye for them
