20% off Holiday Kick Off Sale

Yes you read that right. 20% off kick off sale. Save 20% off your total order. This includes all of our sale items. Sale will end Monday, December 1, 2008. We may extend the sale for a couple of more days so everyone can take advantage of the sale. But you can't beat the savings.

For our Etsy shop, you will have to wait for a Paypal invoice for the discount since there is no way to calculate the 20% on your total order on Etsy. On Website, the discount will be calculated for you at checkout. Just type in the voucher box at the bottom of the checkout page "xmas08" and you will receive your discount. Plus on our website, orders over 25.00 before shipping will receive a free bar of soaps. Now you can't beat that. :-)

New Items for December

I finally got these items listed. I have been procrastinating lately. I am guessing its because of the holidays an not really been into listing much lately. But now that we got one of the holidays over and done with, I was able to get a couple of listing listed on Etsy and soon on the website.

New to my line of Back To Basic Editions is Orange Patchouli. What is Back to Basic Line? Just as it sounds, just basic soap, no fancy dancy colors or fruity girly fragrance but simple soap that everyone can use including men. I made this line of soaps so that men will enjoy using my soaps as well. If most men are like my husband, they will not like using soaps that look to girly with all those fancy swirls and designs and fruity scents. My husband won't use it. So I decided to just make a line of soaps that are just simple soaps. This orange patchouli would be great for the whole family to use.

This is one of our new soaps just recently listed. Pumpkin Pie Spice. I love the smell of pumpkin and after using this soap, I didn't want to get out of the shower thats how great it smells. But not only does it smell terrific, it has a great lather and will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth.

This cute little Ramie Soap Bag is ideal to keep messy wet soap bars in their place. Natural Ramie fibers make it washable as well as durable. Nice gift idea paired with any of our line of soaps. Natural. Each bag as a wooden ball on each end of the drawstring.

The Holidays

Well Thanksgiving is soon approaching and it is the kick off to the Fall and Winter holidays. I am not really that excited about the holidays anymore. I guess its because it has just been my husband and I. My son has been with us but not in the past couple of holidays. I am so hoping that he can make it this year. I use to love this time of the year, but lately, I am just not feeling it. I was hoping that this year would be a nice one since we will have our first Thanksgiving and Christmas in our new home. We have been in our new home since June 08 and none of our family or friends have come by to visit. My husband keeps telling me to don't worry about it but it just bothers me. He is not much into his family or having friends and feels that his family have never really tried to keep in contact with him so he really doesn't care much.

We even invited people over for Thanksgiving like months ago and we have gotten "Oh we would love to come visit" but just in the past week or so, no one is coming. Some of my relatives I don't even bother asking to come. We just made a weekend trip to New York to visit my husband's family but none of them have attempted to visit us. So it will be just me and my husband this year. I would really love to spend more time with my family but it just seems like my husband's family and my family don't have time for us. I am hoping my son will be able to come visit us this year. He is the only one I can really count on making the effort to come. We do attempt to make an effort to keep in touch with everyone but it takes more then just us to make it work.

A Happy Video

I saw this video earlier today and I have to say that it just made me feel all warm and fuzzy all over. It is wonderful to see people around the world happy just to be with a total stranger dancing and having fun. I hope this video makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside too.

Yes it is my Anniversary. I have been in business now for 3 yrs now and I had opened up my website in November 2005. For some reason it seems longer. My Etsy anniversary was yesterday November 5th. I have been on Etsy for 2 yrs now and at times I wanted to give and close my shop this summer because sales was just so bad. I had to close for almost a month due to us moving into our home and when I reopened in July, sales have really slacked off. But my husband told me to hang in there, things will get better. And it is slowly improving. After thinking about it, I have worked too hard to give it up. I have a tendency to go into other bath and body shops and wonder why I am not selling as well as they are and comparing my sales and products with others and I need to stop doing it because it will just discourage me even more. I just focused on what I can do to improve my sales and my products and not so concerned with the other shops and what they are doing.

So to celebrate these events, Take 15% off your entire order at our website now til Saturday November 9th. SAVE SAVE SAVE. All you need to do is type in "anniversary" in the discount voucher box in the shopping cart and it will automatically deduct your savings.

We also are celebrating our Etsy Anniversary too. You can also save 15% off your entire order minus the shipping cost. Since Etsy is not set up like our website, you will need to put in the message box, "anniversary sale" and wait for me to send you a update Paypal invoice with the correct amount. Thats it! Hope everyone is able to take advantage of the sale and savings.

Election Day November 4th

This is a very important day for our country. It doesn't matter who you vote just vote. I am so excited to be voting today although it won't be til later today so hopefully the lines wont be too long and most of the voting was done early today. But even it if is long, I will wait til I get my chance to cast my vote. Lets just hope whatever the outcome is tonight that there will be no drama and that whatever happens, happens. May the best man win.

My New Jewelry Shop

I have been making these cute little Glass Pendants for awhile now and thought I would introduce them. I was a little nervous about opening a store because of the way my sales have been for the past month and I know a lot of that has to do with the way the economy has been lately. But since the Christmas holiday is fast approaching, It thought these would make great gifts for the holidays and at a reasonable price. I decided not to open my shop at Etsy and try another venue to sell them at so I went over to Stop on over to my new shop 4 Keep Sakes
